Nice one.

I agree that the reeverb was lil' off but man that wasn't bad to begin with. Especially since I don't have a mic.

Very dark, perhaps controversial(trees)?

trees, how very controversial... those bastard trees, strapping bombs to em selfs, blowing up all those defenseless buildings...

Nice song, SBB. Still has that ambience-ish feeling to me, but who's complaining!

Overall, the song was airy and on the relaxing side, as well as the semi-mysterious adventure feeling. Nice use of the triangle instrument, too.

Keep up the great work, SBB!

BTW I know how much you like Ambience, and I was wondering if you could check out my very first attempt at it. Just need an expert's opinon.

Still Needs Work

You still have a loong way to go with FL, man. There's so much more that you couldv'e done with that song, it's not even funny.

In any case, it shouldn't have been larger than 4megs, so submitting this as a whole would've been better... the whole song, I mean.

In fact, this doesn't sound very Ambience-ish to me. Ya need it a lil' slower and with progression. Also, add reeverb to the drums. It sounds more realistic that way and fits the "Space" feeling.

Still, not too shabby!
I just did my first Ambience song myself. Just in case you're interested.

Has Potential

Nice idea you got there. It wasn't very long for an Ambience track, but who's complaining? For someone who appears to have just gotten FL you are quite talented. Try looking around more in the "Generators" Plugin Section. There's more Sytrus than you can shake a drumset at in there.

You just need a lot of practice, like with everything.

Of course, I know this is the first part of your Space Race. I'll check ou the next one..

ThumperHill responds:

Thankyou for the constructive criticism. I really appreciate people trying to help instead of just bashing what I throw out there. Yeah, I'm really new to FL, and I'm still using the demo, so I finish products in a day, but I hope to buy it soon enough so that I can continue pumpin' out the music. Thankyou again,

Critics...hmmm....

As for originality, it is a great piece.
I got your review invite and yes I got here. While I was downloading it I browsed reviews and noticed that not much was said on the actual Music. Music Theory, that is.

The intro had an inviting piano roll, just like the original. I began to anticipate a brilliant piece, for the Guitar sound(I have no idea where you got it from and I'm curious as to where) was pleasing and bassy.

But then... oh, woes... the timing was WAAY off. The synths were not playing cooperatively with the Guitar or the crashing cymbals. Plus, the sub-intro in between phrases sounded like it was recorded by a microphone to a megaphone! I abhor flaws like this in a song that is supposed to be really good according to the critics! I was led to believe that it was the ultimate and was utterly dissapointed as I see this as beating any of my newest songs by 400+ downloads...

Granted, I'm impressed to see you making such effort in such a song as this, but come on, man! Get a metronome or something and record the sounds in a more proper setting. The simplest things to fix were right under your nose, and that is why it's not very impressive.

Please consider these things in your future songs. I still have hope for you, man!

Gorekiller responds:

Off timing ? How did you noticed that ?I was certain nothin messed ... Yeah, I can hear that the timing is way off... a bit, though. Audacity metronom and the beatmachine's one don't have the same value of speed. That's why... I'm still workin' on projects ! Thanks for the encouragements, pal ! Don't worry ! I'll make songs till I can make it perfectly !

Nice

Good to see you still cruisin', Gorekiller. Never stop doin' what you love to do.

This loop instantly set off a case of nostalgia as I reminisced about F-Zero X on my N64. It was my first F-Zero game, so it had a little of an impact on me.

What I must say is, though...
This use of Midi bothers me in the sense that you could have done so much more using a better program and the overall quality of the song suffers due to this. I'm not asking you to end it, but to me it just sounds very... 90's-ish.

Other than that, though, I'm glad you still added your own part to the end of the middle of the loop. The synths may sound cheesy, but you still got it in that heart of yours.

This song was actually chrisened "Dream Chaser" by the composer, though it's hard to find such info anyway.

Nice overall effort despite the qurkiness, and I anticipate better next time. In fact, I just finished my newest song, "Hero's Journey". Swing by when ya feel like it, k?

Gorekiller responds:

Whoa ! This is actually the longest review I have ever had ! Glad to see you still appreciate my work, LtSurge659 ! Actually, I'll get a better program. Maybe it will be Fruity Loops or Reason Final. I don't know. I'm thinking about it. I'll check out your songs very soon !

Not bad at all

It seemed to drag a bit, but for the most part it held my attention very well. Nice work with the riff at the end as well!

Bonemill responds:

Thanks for the review man.

Well, Im using this song as an intro to my album so I wanted to keep your attention and im glad it did :). Next one is going to just hit you in the face ;P

Very Nice!

That was a good lil Blues tune, man! Nice application of the bass was very well-placed and the simple melody was enticing.

Very good, man. You're going down as a favourite here.

Nice Effort

I can tell there was much effort in this one. The beat was unique and it succeeded in presenting an islandic feeling.

There were some iffy parts, though.
I think you could've done better with the selection of instruments, though the pads were right on. Nice one at 2:48. The seagulls and water sounded too garbled to have a positive effect, but it was a risk to put it in there, anyway. It's good to take risks at times.

Anyway, for the better half I'd give it an 8/10! Keep 'em comin' man. Nowhere to go but up.

cRAVE01 responds:

thank you. From an artist like yourself, I value your input very highly, and I'm glad the effort came across ^_^; as for instruments . . . my music program is nothing boast-worthy instrument wise e_e but yeah. never the less, thanks so much

Not bad...

But not so hot either.

Like the others said, turn down the friggin' base, man. Other than that it was all good except for the drums.
