Nice Effort

Not only is it good, but you put your heart into it. Hell, ya took three months to create it and a few more days to polish it(am I right?).

The one thing that might still be considered a flaw, though, is its repetitiveness. I got lil bored after the first two minutes of it... where's the climax?

Anyway, although I'm not a big DNB person, I gotta say that was really nice.

StereoTactik responds:

Thanks!

I feel like playing that again.

I remember going to an arcade with my other buds and playing this. Pretty nice, man.

It takes effort to reproduce music like this from scratch, so kudos!

Kid2Will responds:

Haha, but your the master at it.

Nice

The drums were a lil overpowering, but tourettes guy made all the difference.

I'd like to see how many people ask "who's teh guy saying f-u?!".

Para-Noid responds:

Lol I really doubt that. Everybody knows him.

Para-Noid

Sounds Promising!

Nice, man.
The buildup was great, although you could do something about the rolling snare. It kind of takes too much away from the building melody.

But in most other espects, it sounds like a keeper. Good luck!

ProfessorChaos22 responds:

building snare? the snare does not come in until the melody. It's kind of a growl effect, that and the AIF file sounds a lot different than the mp3 file. Thanks for your opinion!

Never played SMB3, but...

Hey, that won't get in the way of my opinions.

Percussion
The Kick was almost right on the spot. It's a good position. There was little snare action, but you don't always need snares in every piece.

Synths
Nice employment of the Toto, if I'm not mistaken. Ya know, the instrument that sounds like an F Horn.

Many things were good, but there's always room for improvement. Nice ta hear from you again, btw. I'm starting a new VG piece myself. I just submitted the trailer today.

Buoy responds:

Toto? What's that? :D

Thanks for the review man

Cool

You've got talent up the ass, man. I like that.

You couldv'e used drums with more bass. It sounded just a lil too much treble in there. All in all, though, the use of the instuments went farther than expected.

Great, but there's always room for improvement!

Kid2Will responds:

I know man, and the fun is striving to get to it. Or just finding something that everyone likes. Whats cool in this song, me and my friend actully composed it before i put it on the computer, although i came up with all the parts. I needed someone to play the bass with me. Thanks for the review man.

Pumping... almost TOO pumping...

This is the first I've heard of your music, to be honest, so I'm proud to give this first review.

Work Needed:
- If you are using FL, then the first effect I hear must have been "Hit2", which is good and all, but it needs a different setting. It's attack was way too powerful for the beginning of the piece. I would've done something with more bass, toned down and slowly working to its climax.
- Ingame, it'd be fine, but by itself it would seem too repetitive.

Shining Points:
- I take a liking to your music already, though I've only scratched the surface. This song, in particular has the obvious "preparation to fight" feeling to it that I'm quite fond of.
- Use of many different instruments makes the Diversity high-grade.

Overall, good job on this undertaking. I can see the effort, and I look forward to more. What kind of project was it for? lol asssonance

PS: In your spare time, why not check mine out? I go into VG covers at times, and according to reviews, they aren't half bad!

Kid2Will responds:

I love that you spotted the exact thing i used, but that also means i need to change it lol. Yeah this song is for the studica autodesk 3dsm competition, which me and my classmate entered as a team, its a tank scene and they are about to fight, so your right on the money there.
Of course ill check your stuff out.

Keep it coming

Those who do anything well have quite the responsibility, my friend, to dazzle an audience.
Once again, I see a fine addition to your collection, and I set my standards higher!

I find the SSBM version a nice piece as well, though I know it could've been better. Perhaps I'll try a SSB song... and I know the right place to DD some music. PM me if you're interested.

+PS I have no idea how, but I was able to beat Roy's in inder :15! How fast are joo with Falco's?+

Gorekiller responds:

Falco ? Hmm... if it is my caracter, I can beat easily everybody in 30 secs. But it is my enemy, well, it will be hard to beat him. Maybe I can beat Roy as fast as you. Well thanks for that review !

Are you...

a recording artist yet? Somewhere, somehow I'm sure you're going to get an offer from some producer. Hell, I'm no competition whatsoever. Half of NG prolly isn't competition compared to this!

One more question:
If this is a "short clip" then how long (estimation) do you plan on making this? It's already almost 2:00 long! It won't be able to be submitted here if it's much longer, beyond 5:00, and normally a song such as this ( coming from experience with listening to Metallica, Dragonforce) is around 6:00...

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks man! I do plan on recording an album one day. The length of will be around 4 minutes.

Some Rough Edges...

But other than that it wasn't bad!

The only two things that bothered me were the lack of Kick and Bass. Not sure if that was exactly the style you were going for, though. In my mind, some extra bassline and application of kick wouldv'e given it more edge.

Other than that, the piece had a nice flow and I like what you did with the synths throughout.

Nice work!

TheAmateurAnimator responds:

Thanks.
